We invite you to continue exploring and enjoying the beauty of the Sierra Nevada and the power of its sacred places. Join us and live an experience of deep rest, renewal and connection with nature and with the ancestral cultures that inhabit this magical place.

Chayrama Sacred Site

It will be 5 days during which we will have time to rest on the beach, enjoy the refreshing breeze of the Caribbean Sea rocking in a hammock, bathe in rivers of crystal clear water that come down from the mountains of the Sierra Nevada, and visit in the Tayrona National Park accompanied by the Kogui Mamos, a sanctuary of biodiversity,  archaeological remains and paradisiacal beaches. We will trek ecological trails of tropical rainforest until we reach the sacred site of Chayrama, an ancient settlement of the Tayrona culture, where we will perform ceremonies with the mamos, connect with the energy of the site and a do deep energy work.

The retreat begins on September 16th. The group will be picked up at 7 AM in the city of
Valledupar (address to be announced) and taken by bus to the town of Palomino in the state of La Guajira.

The retreat ends on September 19th at 10AM. The group will be taken by bus to the city of Santa Marta and people can choose to stay there for a couple of days and enjoy the Colonial City Center (recommended) or take their flight back to Bogotá right away.

Please be aware when making your travel plans and reserving your flights, that the arrival to the “Dawn of a New Time” gathering needs to be to the city of VALLEDUPAR while the departure at the end of the “Tayrona Retreat” needs to be from the city of SANTA MARTA. Both cities have several flights to and from BOGOTÁ the capital city of Colombia, which in turn has several national and international connections.



We will be hosted in a comfortable, beautiful and quiet Natural Reserve on the beach of Palomino, in the Guajira state, right on the Caribbean coast.



We will have shared accommodations in cabins for 8 people. These are fully furnished, built of wood and palm leaves, have a private bathroom, a terrace and hammocks.




There is no electricity in the cabins. They are lit with candles creating an environment difficult to find these days. However, there is access to electricity and the possibility of charging cell phones and other devices as well as Wifi service at the Front Desk.



The cost of the Retreat is $750 American dollars and includes:
– 4 days and 3 nights with shared accommodation in cabins for 8 people and meals.
– Transportation: Valledupar – Palomino, Palomino – Tayrona National Park – Palomino, Palomino – Santa Marta
– Teachings with Kogi mamos
– Entrance to Tayrona National Natural Park and ceremonies with Kogi mamos.
– Accident insurance during the visit to the Tayrona National Park.
– Fire Ceremony and Medicine Circle.
